Following the author presentations, mingle with your favorite bards and get all your questions answered. Books will be available for purchase. Make it a night to remember. Go home with autographed editions of the evening’s highlights!
Batya Podos discovered the Greek Myths at age nine, and ever since then she has been chasing a good story. For over thirty years she has been a storyteller and performer, workshop leader, teacher and playwright. She worked as an artist in residence and educational consultant in the U.K., where she lived for over a decade, and later, when she returned to the U.S., as a middle-school drama teacher.
Katherine Boyer, M.A., is an author, speaker, and shamanic practitioner. Her master’s degree is in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College and a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College. She is versed in the methodology of ACOA, (Adult Children of Alcoholics), and has studied spiritual traditions ranging from Lakota Sioux sweat lodges to kundalini yoga. And yet mostly she has learned much within the context of family; being a parent, daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, an elder.
Jo Barney's work has been published in literary magazines, mainstream publications, and professional journals, several of her short stories have won awards. Her stories and essays, as well as the novels, reflect her observations of women's lives and the people who inhabit them: children, husbands, parents, friends, strangers who happen by and change everything.
JC Andrijeski has published novels, novellas, serials, graphic novels and short stories, including new adult urban fantasy series, Allie's War, the new adult dystopian series Alien Apocalypse, and the Gate Shifter series, about a shape-shifting alien and a tough-girl PI from Seattle. She also writes nonfiction essays and articles, as well as some erotica. Her short works have been featured in anthologies, online literary, art and fiction magazines as well as print venues such as NY Press newspaper and holistic health magazines.
Jason Gurley is the author of The Man Who Ended the World, Eleanor and the bestselling novel Greatfall, among other books and short stories. His work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including John Joseph Adams's forthcoming Help Fund My Robot Army!!!
